Only Connect Festival of Sound 2020 - From a Safe Distance

Although concerts and festivals are being cancelled and postponed, artists are still enthusiastically developing new sounds, creating new pieces and other ways to work and think about music. We are excited to show you some of this work on Only Connect 2020 (From A Safe Distance).

Artistic director and chief conductor Christian Eggen has written a new piece for the digital festival:

«Trii in isolamento», a nonet consisting of three isolated groups. Two of the groups – one string and one wind trio – have the same score, but have to find their own interpretations of it without any contact across the groups. The third trio – harp and two percussionists – are fine by themselves. The only thing binding the groups together is a timeline.
